I try to connect to a server using Remote Desktop, but I get the error message: "You cannot initiate a Remote Desktop Connection because the Windows logon software on the remote computer has been replaced by incompatible software...". Anything I can do?

This occurs if the Graphical Identification and Authentication file (by default Msgina.dll) on the remote computer is not compatible with Remote Desktop (typically, it has been replaced by some software). To fix this, please have a look at KB Article 300470
