I want to play games on my Server, but it is not working, why?
Windows Server 2003 is a Server OS, and we should not use it to play games
(that is why we have Windows XP). However, if you insist to play games, there
are basically three things you have to do - enable Windows Audio Service (see Q1), enable DirectX and
enable Hardware Acceleration. To do that, follow these steps:
- Right click on the Desktop, click
Properties
- Click on the Advanced tab, click
Troubleshooting, set Hardware Acceleration to
maximum.
- Click Start->Run and type
dxdiag
- Click on the Display tab, click Enable for
both Direct3d and DirectDraw
