When I shut down i have to specify a reason for the shut down. How do i disable this?
The ShutDown Event Tracker is a new feature. Some people like it, but
it can also be very annoying on a test server that is restarted several times.
To disable this, follow these steps:
- Go to Start and then Run
- Type mmc
- Click File and then Add/Remove Snap-in
- Click Add..., find the Snap-in Group Policy Object Editor and
click Add
- Click Finish, click Close, click OK
- Navigate to Local Computer Policy/Computer
Configuration/Administrative Templates/System, right click
Display Shutdown Event Tracker and click Properties
- Click Disabled, click OK
