I have no sound. I know the drivers are installed, and Device Manager says it is working. But still no sound!
Windows Server 2003 has several new services. One of these new services is the
Windows Audio Service. This service is disabled by default on Windows Server
2003 Enterprise Edition (Evaluation is a time limited Enterprise Edition), which
means that you have no sound. To get sound, enable it by follow these steps:
- Click
Start->Programs->Administrative
Tools->Services
- Find the Windows Audio Service, right click and click
Properties
- In Start-up Type select Automatic instead of Disabled.
- Click Apply, click Start, click
OK
